Tom Givens is Chief Instructor at Rangemaster, a full time, year round firearms and tactics training facility. He also provides consulting and expert witness testimony in firearms and firearms training matters.
A State certified firearms instructor, adjunct instructor Memphis Police Academy, NRA and FBI certified police firearms instructor.
Tom is the author of five published textbooks, including Fighting Smarter, and approximately 100 magazine articles.
Master in three IDPA Divisions and former state champion in both TN and MS in both IPSC and IDPA competition.

Dave Harrington
Dave Harrington (a.k.a. “Super Dave”) is the President of Combatspeed LLC which is based out of Tampa, Florida and is a professional associate of Paul Liebenberg of Pistol Dynamics out of Melbourne, Florida. Dave continuously earns the respect of his peers within the Special Operations community, the competitive shooting sports, and enjoys international recognition as a professional combat weapons and tactics trainer.
“S” Dave has earned the respect of key individuals within the shooting industry for his technical and tactical savvy that has led to the development of his own fixed site design that is superior to patridge sites.
“S” Dave’s Combat-Speed Sites are patent pending and soon to be fielded within the Special Operations community in 2009.
“S” Dave has earned and/or maintains numerous firearms Instructor certifications, and his reputation as a top tier, world class instructor is recognized by the training industry.
Barry Garcia
Dr. Garcia is a Reserve Officer for the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office. He has been their SWAT Medic since 2005. He trains with the SWAT team twice a month; and, attends all callouts and high risk warrants. The SWAT team averages 6-10 callouts per year and 20-30 high risk warrants. His tactical education includes a one week Basic SWAT school followed by completion of the Florida SWAT Association’s TEMS course (a one week course) and the International School of Tactical Medicine’s two week SWAT Medic course. He has attended the Special Operation Medical Associations
yearly course since 2008.
He has taught at the Florida SWAT Associations TEMS course. He works as an instructor for Tactical Element, Inc, a leading provider of Combat Life Saving instruction for the military. He provides hands on medical training for his SWAT team and other interested officers.
He is a Board Certified Primary Care Sports Medicine physician and maintains a full time sports medicine practice. His expertise is in musculoskeletal injuries and rehabilitation. He was recently appointed as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the
Department of Family Medicine and Rural Health at the Florida State University College of Medicine.
Phil Peplinksi
Phil Peplinski has over 25 years of experience in martial arts to include Hapkido, Torite
Jutsu, Taekwondo, Tactical Weapons and Defensive Tactics and is on the Board of
Directors for the American Hapkido Federation. He is the head instructor and creator
of Marshall Combatives for Marshall PI. His background of Military Service, Law
Enforcement and Emergency room security has given him a street level perspective to the
application of techniques and concepts. For the past 10+ years he has been studying
confrontations at the street level, which is the driving force behind his current ambitions
and direction.
Jim Clark
Owner and Chief Instructor, High Point Personal Security Training, LLC. Former Lead Instructor for Options for Personal Security, Inc., USMC 76-83, and combat firearms competitor. Over the past 20 years Jim has trained with; Tactical Response, Shivworks (Southnarc), Halo Group, Jim Cirillo, Trident Concepts, Options for Personal Security, and a number of other groups and trainers across the United States, he regularly attends and presents material at training conferences nationwide. His company has continuously conducted scheduled classes and private instruction in the Central Florida area for the past ten years. In 2010 he launched a firearms adventure company, Florida Firearms Adventures.
In addition Jim previously held positions as a Business Security Consultant with Broadlink Security, Tampa, Fla. , the Contracts/Operations Manager of PCI Security, Orlando, Fl, and maintains his Florida “D” and “G” security licenses, taking periodic short term assignments.
Jim is Director of Training. As the director he leads the advisory group and instructor cadre in continued testing, development, and delivery of relevant, dependable solutions designed to enhance our clients personal security. He also facilitates all Comprehensive Security Analysis’ that are performed by High Point Personal Security Training.
Shannon Smith
2011 USPSA National Champion Limited Division) Shannon Smith is a USPSA Grandmaster and IDPA Master competition shooter competing in 10-15 major matches per year around the country. The top ranked shooter in Florida, 7 time and current USPSA State Champion, 2 time and current IDPA State Champion. Regular top 10 finisher at National level matches. Shannon finished 3rd in the world at World Shoot XV in Bali, Indonesia 2008. He also was a member of the gold medal winning US team.
Shannon has instructed at various schools around the country including his own company. His tactical background includes six years in special operations with the US Army’s 2nd Ranger Battalion at Ft. Lewis, WA. Serving as team leader and squad leader; qualifying expert in all aspects of special operations. He attended numerous schools relating to special operations, small unit tactics, leadership, firearms and ground fighting while in the Army. He brings this experience as well as a sense of humor and ability to relate to the student to his teaching style.
